Fun & Whimsical Roses

How many times have you sewn a project and had beautiful scraps left over that you just could not find a way to throw them away?  If you are like me...THOUSANDS!  Well this project is a fun and beautiful project that you can make from those scraps. I cut the hem off from a lovely pink formal gown.  The strip was then folded in half and pressed.  I set up my serger for a rolled hem stitch.  I stitched on the pressed folded edge of the fabric.  After stitching the edge, I used the quick gathering method on my sewing machine. (see video below).  The black contrasted edge on the flower and the shiny satin fabric gives this rosette luster! Make lots of these and you can embellish your entire wardrobe with roses!

Happy Sewing!
